The ‘Thank You’ Message on the Beach Moved the Air Force Coronel

Air Force Coronel Robert Toss, the commander of “Operation TOMODACHI” for the relief of 3.11 Earthquake in Japan, told that local people created “ARIGATO (Thank You)” message with pine woods on the beach near Sendai Airport to show their appreciation to the team. In the telephone interview with Japanese media, he recalled that the level of destruction and devastation was beyond his imagination, but he was surprised by Japanese who kept working day and night even though they were also suffered. He added “We are the one who want to say thank you to Japanese people.”
